Ezra 2:69
This person's purpose is to pray for and lead prayer for a church and community. (While the bible says "My house shall be called a house of prayer", seldom is there a full-time person responsible for it.) Not only would this "pastor" be responsible for coordinating prayer throughout the church setting but they would be responsible for leading the "blessing" prayers - especially targeting the business people. Preferably someone with the gift of pastor or apostle with insight into prayer and what it can do for finances without becoming consumed with "money" (more with an outlook for wealth rather than riches). While it could be a part-time person, consideration should be given to a full-time salaried person and require reporting of when, where, and how the prayers are being answered. The establishment of this position would be a long-term project for the church and not just for some immediate financial fulfillment!
This would be a time set aside and announced (monthly/quarterly/semi-annually) for anointing with oil and praying "blessing" on/for business people and executives. Not unlike a healing service, bring them to an altar, anoint them and pray a prayer of blessing over them. Thought should be given to giving them a token with which to remember the prayer blessing - even if it is just a card with a "blessing" scripture on it. Do it often! Remember: the more prayer - the stronger the anointing!
Here the "Prayer Pastor" and/or other business owners go to business locations and pray with the owners about business decisions - possibly including anointing building/people with oil. While the previous mentioned event purpose is to bless business people in general, this is prayer offered up specifically for an owner and the challenges facing him and his business.
These are regular study groups targeting business people - e.g., before work/breakfast study group, luncheon teaching, Sat morning leadership training. Structure should focus on OT/Jewish/Jesus biblical business principles. Encourage all business people of the community to come. Use this as an event for evangelism and outreach to the community - become a church which "enhances community leaders".
A weekly/monthly function of the church targeted for anyone inside/outside of the church who has a financial need. While similar to the "Blessing of the Business People", its focus is different (needs as opposed to blessings, church business/executive leadership vs. public). Trained prayer leaders pray over attendees, perhaps anointing with oil. (An excellent time to pray for the church finances also.)
These readings should be based upon Deut 28 and other scriptures relating to God's people being blessed. This should occur at least monthly if not weekly - continuous exposure to the blessing concept enables one to understand it and then receive it.
